About Jessica Anewalt, MD

Doctor Jessica Anewalt, MD

Dr. Jessica Anewalt grew up outside of Chicago, IL.  She moved to St. Louis, MO to attend Saint Louis University. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelors degree in Chemistry and minors in Biology and Psychology.  She continued on to Saint Louis University School of Medicine where she helped run and organize a student-led free clinic. It was her love of Family Medicine that brought her to Asheville for residency.

She spent 3 years training at MAHEC. She fell in love with the area and community, and knew she wanted to settle here for good.  With her patients touting her kind and caring demeanor during their appointments, Dr. Anewalt brings a gentle approach to the practice.

Dr. Anewalt and her husband, a teacher at North Windy Ridge Intermediate School, welcomed their first child in June 2018. They enjoy spending time outdoors; hiking and camping.  They are excited to continue raising their son in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina and calling this place home.
