North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) is opening COVID-19 vaccinations to persons 65 years and all healthcare workers.
Important Details for COVID-19 Vaccine Info (Updated January 22, 2021):
People who fall into Phase 1B (those 65 and over) can call BCHHS to schedule a COVID-19 vaccine.
Appointments can be made by calling (828) 250-5000, Monday-Friday, between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.
You must have an appointment to get a COVID-19 vaccination at this time.
Two COVID-19 shots of the same vaccine are necessary to build up immunity. The second shot come 3-4 weeks after the first.
The vaccine is free to everyone, even if you don’t have health insurance.
Your ability to get a vaccine is not impacted by your citizenship status and there is not an ID requirement.

Visitor Restrictions
Patients under 18 may have a guardian present. Patients over 18 must attend solo.
Screening
Please stay in your vehicle to be screened by a staff member for a temperature & symptom check.
Complete Patient Forms
Please print off and complete all required pre-registration forms prior to your visit.
Office Access
Visitors with COVID-19 symptoms will not be allowed in the facility. Please notify us prior.
How Do We Screen and Test for COVID-19
Request a COVID-19 test - whether symptomatic or asymptomatic - by calling (828)-645-8525 for an appointment.
A telehealth appointment with one of our physicians will be scheduled.
Afterwards you will be asked to come to our parking lot for a self-collected test via nasopharyngeal swab that is given by a clinical staff member.
We are not currently providing in-office testing.
We also offer antibody testing via blood draw (this would also be done via process listed above).
